What do you do at Home Property Lawyers?

I  am currently involved in developing, testing and rolling out training of new and current case systems. I also deal with accounts, financial ledgers and housekeeping. It requires a lot of attention to detail and communication with other departments such as IT and Accounts.

What’s your career background?

I was interested in Property so after studying Business studies at college in 1998 I decided to apply for a Conveyancing Administrator role at a Solicitor’s firm based in Leeds City Centre. I enjoyed the position and did a variation of roles before progressing to a Conveyancer. I moved to Langleys in 2006, where I already knew some of my colleagues, which later transferred its Residential Conveyancing Division to Home Property Lawyers Limited.

Why conveyancing?

I work well under pressure and enjoy the organisational side the role of a Conveyancer requires. I enjoy achieving targets and meeting client’s expectations satisfying. It’s a particularly stressful time for clients selling and purchasing a property, so I find it rewarding to help guide them through the process towards a successful completion.

What do you love about working at Home Property Lawyers?

The role I undertake now requires teamwork with colleagues and other departments, which I enjoy, to develop and role out training on current and new case systems.  I feel we have a good support network and work together to achieve results in making the department run more efficiently. I enjoy problem solving which is useful when dealing with financial accounts and ledgers.

What makes your house a home?

Coming home to my 2 and half year old little boy is what really makes my house a home. He is a whirlwind of energy which provides lots of fun and laughter. Filling my home with family and friends means everything.
