What do you do at Home Property Lawyers?

I am part of the Management Team and am responsible for looking after key client relationships with referrers, and reviewing our processes to ensure that every client receives the best possible journey through to exchange.  I am currently developing our website and social media platforms to provide clients with more information and guidance about moving home.

What’s your career background?

I originally started working in the banking industry within the mortgage and personal loan underwriting department, and later within customer relations and then moved to estate agency.  I started working within conveyancing in 2002 and for the last 17 years I have progressed on to management within two large Solicitors firms.  Since I started in conveyancing the process has become much more technology based, but the process can still appear to be complex and stressful to clients when moving.

Why conveyancing?

Whilst the process is similar on most transactions, every client and every chain is different and you always continue to learn something new.  I enjoy passing on knowledge to newer members of the team and also helping clients to get in to their new home as quickly as possible.  The call confirming exchange of contracts to my clients is the highlight of the job, knowing you have made their day.

What do you love about working at Home Property Lawyers?

Everyone within the team is really friendly and supportive.  There are always managers and trainers on hand to assist.  There are opportunities and career progression for those who want to progress and an established team who become more like your own family.

What makes your house a home?

My log burner!  The smell of burning wood makes me know I have arrived home, either that, or I need to panic!
