What do you do at Home Property Lawyers?

I am a Conveyancing Executive who on a daily basis deals with a wide range of different residential transactions, including; Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, unregistered sales and purchases, new build properties and government ISA schemes to list a few.

What’s your career background?

I started working at Home Property Lawyers in September 2015 only nine days after graduating from the University of Lincoln. I began at the firm as a Conveyancing Administrator and within 6 months had progressed to become a Conveyancing Assistant. Whilst being an Assistant to a conveyancer at the firm I was offered the opportunity to take on some of my own files and clients. Now I have my own caseload of files and clients and on a daily basis I am able to use my invaluable knowledge of each area of the conveyancing process to reassure my clients and get matters through to exchange and completion as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

Why conveyancing?

There is nothing more satisfying than receiving a thank you from a client after guiding them through one of the most stressful experiences someone can go through in their life. Each transaction is completely different to the last and occasionally can produce particularly interesting obstacles which need to be overcome. I enjoy coming into work in the morning not knowing what I’m going to come across that day.

What do you love about working at Home Property Lawyers?

When I finished University I decided not to move back “home” and wanted to pursue a career and life in the city that I had studied in for three years and fallen in love with. The colleagues I have worked with through each of my three roles at this firm very quickly became both friends and adopted family and that sense of family and teamwork is without a doubt why I love working at Home Property Lawyers so much.
