Conveyancer

As a Conveyancer you will be responsible for the client’s transaction from the start through to completion. You will be committed to understanding your client’s needs, supporting and keeping them informed throughout the transaction.

You will also understand the need to work with the estate agent to enable exchange as quickly as possible with maximum client satisfaction and minimal risk.

In this role you can progress to become a Senior Conveyancer before working towards our Technical Advisor role, if that is the path you wish to be considered for.

You should have a good knowledge of the conveyancing process and a positive attitude to problem solving. Being able to work under pressure and keep clients and estate agents updated throughout the process is essential.

Experience required?

Yes, we have a range of roles available for people who have experience in conveyancing at differing levels of ability.

Technical Advisor

As a Technical Advisor you will support the conveyancers, progressing transactions through to exchange as quickly as possible. The role involves responsibility for checking that titles to properties are good and marketable and dealing with all the legal aspects of the transaction.

The role requires excellent attention to detail and experience in dealing with freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, new build and unregistered titles.

It’s important to be up to date on current case law and financial matters surrounding conveyancing, have a positive can-do attitude, and be a proactive problem solver, willing to coach junior members of staff and maintain an awareness of the pressures on your colleagues.

Being self motivated, approachable and able to prioritise your daily workload in order to meet changing deadlines are vital qualities in this role.

Experience required?

Yes, at least 5 years conveyancing experience carrying your own files.

New Business

Becoming part of our New Business team is a great place to start if you don’t have any conveyancing experience but would like to learn more and progress.

Our New Business team plays a huge part in making sure things get off to a flying start. They speak to clients to confirm their details and instructions. They also liaise with estate agents and solicitors, input data, download information, create documents and generally get our clients’ transactions well advanced in the early stages before handing over to our conveyancers and their personal assistants.

You don’t need conveyancing experience for this role, however we look for people who can demonstrate the following:

Personal Assistants

Many of our new business team progress on to be personal assistants via our dedicated training plan. They work with our conveyancers, assisting them in looking after clients and progressing transactions to exchange. Our personal assistants speak to our clients, estate agents, and other third parties, chasing information, providing updates and keeping clients informed on the progress of their transaction.

This is a varied role involving proactively progressing matters, dealing with incoming post and emails and diarising follow up calls and chasers to various third parties.

Our personal assistants go on to become conveyancers with supervised training and guidance.

Yes, within a similar role.
