What do you do at Home Property Lawyers?
I am a Solicitor and I’m responsible for providing technical assistance to the team. This includes title checking of all types of titles such as, freehold & leaseholds, registered & unregistered titles, new builds & shared ownership properties. I prepare property reports for clients, draft legal documents, roll out courses for the team and assist case handlers with their queries.
What’s your career background?
I was a civil servant in the Department of Health for 6 years before studying law. I have 20 years experience in conveyancing and have worked for 3 large solicitor firms.
I fell into conveyancing by chance as I was offered a job in a conveyancing firm. I took to the role very well and enjoyed title checking and finding solutions to complex title matters. I realised that I was contributing to what is one of the most important purchases or sales for most people and was determined to do my part to ensure they receive an excellent service.
What do you love about working at Home Property Lawyers?
I love the people I work with. They are a friendly and cheerful bunch. I love the flexibility offered by the firm and the support I receive at all times.
What makes your house a home?
Food, lots of home cooked food and the noisy chatter of my family.
